K20a swap, mandatory ac/ps removal?
K20a swap, mandatory ac/ps removal?
Hi all, Iv been thinking of swapping in a K20 for this D17, from what i hear its a tight fit and some ppl have removed their a/c and powersteering for fitment. My question is, do you have to remove the powersteering and air conditioning to make this swap fit? beacuse i dont think i could live without a/c and it would be hard to get used to the feel of the car without power steering.
i keep a/c and took the ep3 electrial steering. I had a/c line fabbed up it was 270 something for the lines. it doesnt matter if its a A,A2,or A3 USE THE ELECTRIAL STEERING. you wont have to cutt into the hood and its about an extra 5whp plus i think its better than pump.

Ok all my lines and stuff just got here everything looks good a little dirty going to clean everything up tonight. I bought a new o-ring kit and some refrigant oil to lube up the o-rings when i put them in. One question does the condensor fan bolt to the condensor or the radiator?

Ok i would like to think everyone for there help espically TransformedBG. couldnt of done it with yall. I used all RSX lines and they all fit i didnt have to have any of them extended or shorted. I did have to do some bending but not very much. I will say i was a pain in the *** and will never do it again. The air blows ice cold. I just hope i dont have any slow leaks, but so far so good. I bought some dye just in case. Thank again everyone.
