Anyone else have this hooked up via rca to miniplug? I'm getting terrible alternator noise that was not there before installing sirius. I know people are gonna say to check the grounds, check the rca's, i have. I have no idea what could be causing this. the only real wiring i have run for the sirius is the antenna wiring from my trunk to the HU area, and the dc adaptor to the cig lighter. i had the rca to miniplug cord previously, because i was using it with my mp3 player. Im reading on numerous sites people with the starmate replay experience alternator noise, so i really think its something about the tuner itself
Are you using the wireless FM transmitter? You won't get good results unless you play around with the selectable frequencies to find the best one. You should be able to select from 88.1 to 107.9.
nope im using the auxillary rca input on my head unit. rca to miniplug cable. zero noise through fm mode. maybe ill try a new cable
nevermind about this issue.. i'm taking sirius out of my car. the quality is just too poor for me.
more on the quality since im just too lazy to type it all.
