Brake problem and random noise!!! HELP!
I drive an 02 ex coupe 5spd.
I got ambitious and changed my pads and rotors. They are all done, and work quite a lot better than before, but I have a bit of an issue with them. They don't engage until the pedal is almost near the floor. They used to engage quite a bit before that. Did I do something wrong? I did have to drain some of the fluid, but I added more once I was done.
Draining the fluid was an issue in itself... I live in Buffalo, NY so the calipers were really rusty. Long story short, the bleed screw broke in half on my passenger side. Had to get the fluid out from the other end where the fluid goes in... thankfully the screw broke because it was rusted so tight, so it wont be coming out any time soon when i'm driving.
Anyway, why are the brakes engaging so much later now? Can I change that? What do I need to do?
Second question... and I read the manual tranny noise post, but the noise doesnt fit either of those situations exactly correctly.
When i press the clutch and then press the gas there is a definite noticable noise when the rpms are low. Once it gets to the higher rpms the noise goes away. It basically only happens in neutral, reverse and first. Any ideas what the hell that could be?
Thanks for any and all of your help.

you need to bleed air out of the system. i have no clue how, but theres air and that affects the pedal movement. could also be the master cylinder going out but i doubt it from what you said. the noise might be the throwout bearing, but again im no expert with manuals.
