Two Separate issues, Clutch and CV Axles?

Alright, I just wanted some advice on a couple things for my car..

1) Yesterday, I was taking a corner kind of fast and when I had shifted into second it just grinded right in, I've grinded it like that a few times (shifting to fast into second or something) and when I pulled into my neighborhood putting it into first it was very difficult to get it into first gear. Now every time I shift into first it is VERY hard to put it into that gear, and only that gear. It sounds like I need a new clutch.. also I was wondering how difficult a clutch would be to put into my manual 01 honda civic LX. I have some decent knowledge of cars and I'm a quick learner....

2) The second problem isn't as serious but I'd like to have it addressed....every time I turn my steering wheel to the left or to the right (much more noticable when I first start driving) It makes a clicking sound usually once per tire rotation. I have a feeling it is my CV axles, but as the boots are in tact and no fluid is seeping from either boot I question that it could still be my axles.

Could be synchros not clutch. Is it grinding from the gearbox i assume?

And yes clicking usually indicates CV problems but if they are all good.. hmm, check ball joints too.

Alright, well I'm not worried about the clicking anyways...more about my shifting

What happened was is that I shifted very quickly into second and it grinded, at least the 10th time i've done this in the last 50k miles. This time, however, it is very difficult to put it into first gear every time, it doesn't grind it just has a hard time catching ,have to put alot of strength in the shifter to get it into that gear. My prelude did the same thing sometimes when I'd shift into 2nd gear to quickly, and it'd just grind a sec. Does that help at all?

See if changing your tranny fluid makes a difference.

Wow, I seriously thought that there'd be a clear cut direct problem that people would be aware of. I'll check my fluid again, I did it about 10k miles ago and it looked clean and I topped it off.

Just wondering, but what did you top it off with? The fluid makes a big difference with shifting quality, not saying this is the answer for you though.
