clutch pedal squeak!

clutch pedal squeak!

i have 02 ex n when i put my clutch pedal in it squeaks pretty loud. it also squeaks when i take my foot off the clutch....what can fix the squeaking or is this a serious problem?

I also have an 02 EX and it does the exact same thing, I think I read somewhere on here how to make it go away, probably just spray up towards where the pedal attaches with some WD-40 or something, maybe put a few drops of oil on the area where the pedal hinges. Mine has done it since I bought the car and it really annoys me, I have no idea why I haven't fixed it.

Dont use WD40, its not ment to be a lubricant and will eat away the rubber seal that the pedal is connected to.

Any oil, just not WD40. Lithium grease is good.

i've got an 02 ex as well and my clutch squeeks loud when i'm just driving normally. if im going over 40 though you cant hear it over my exhaust. if anyone has some info on this it'd be a big help. i might try what dragon was talking about.

There was a TSB for this, someones gotta finda copy so I can show the dealer while its still under warranty. I thought they fixed it for 04, but mine squeaks 35k miles!

these happend to practically everyone, its not bad however it is annoying. Just get used to the sound imo.

Mine did this, but it was the spot where the cluch cylinder pushes the cluch fork on the tranny. A bit of grease right in that indentation fixed it.
