I have a squeaky clutch, the noise seems to be comming from the rubber boot on the left side of the exhaust manifold (where the ball joint is/ whatever else).. I was doing a search here and it says that I should put some grease in the slit of the boot.. So my question is this.. Can I use regular gear grease and it it possible to F**ck anything up by putting too much grease in that boot? Thanks.

""""After a year driving my Civic with a squeaky clutch. I finally can't take it anymore, so I decided to get it fix today. It turns out to be a easy fix, all u need is some lithium grease.

1. Find the clutch cyclinder( dunno if it is the right name) on the left side of the headers, u will see 2 bolts holding the clutch cyclinder, remove them.

2. Pull the Clutch cyclinder slightly to the right without bending the lines

3. Remove the plastic cover, you will see a ball join, I found mine are full of dirt and have a little rust, clean it with WD-40 and polish it will a paper towel

4 Lubricate the join with lithum grease and put everything back together
lub here too

took me 15mins
It works!!!no more squeaky clutch and the pedal feel smooth again.


P.S. Good idea to have some clutch fluid arround, check the fluid level afterwards."""""



Does anyone know of any posts with better pics that have the bolts in question circled or something.. This F*ing noise is driving me insanse.. Thanks
