A JL 1000W mono block amp would be the best bet. since those are 3 ohm speakers, and unless your amp is 1 to 4 ohm stable you may run in to problems later on.

the audiobahn amp is 2ohm stable.. what kind of problems would u run into? the amp i have now is 800rms at 2ohms and 400rms at 4ohms.. would they atleast push my speakers 50%??

they'e selling me another audiobahn amp thats 1x800rms at 4ohms stabe.. they're askin $160.. is that a good price for an amp that would pwer my w6s?

if you end up buying tht JL 1000.1, you WILL NEED a H.O. alternator and a 2nd battery. i have the jl1000.1 with a 13w7, it was a crazy setup till i get the alternator and battery in the back!

its a tough call. Those w6's are dual 6 ohm drivers. this gives you three potential wiring configurations:

1.5 ohm
6 ohm
24 ohm

theres no real good answer for you. neither of yoru two amplifeirs was designed to handle a 1.5 ohm load. That being said, your current amp (800 watt 2 ohm amplifier) as the best shot of being able to remain stable powering those drivers.

the best bet is to go with an overbuilt 1 ohm stable amplifier, but in a pich, that often isnt financially feasible. In which case, I'd say your best bet is to stick with what you've got.

AlienX will become famous soon enough
jl1000.1 would be your best bet. Those amps run at 1000watts no matter on the ohm level. So you can run it at 26 ohms and it will still provide 1000watts of RMS power..

my jl 500/1 is 500 watts @ 1.5 ohm ~ 4 ohm stable but it tested from the factory at 768 watts and a firned of mine has a jl 1000/1 which is simalair to the same specs expect wattage and his amp tested way over 1000 as well.. for two w6 a 500/1 is more than enough unless you plan to compete

I would personally do 2 500/1s or a 1000/1.
JL stuff is top notch, ESPECIALLY their amps. The 500/1 is a work of engineering art.

go to the website
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/index.php
look at the spec sheets and read some of the features. They try to say things in plain english for you and I think you will be amazed at the JL difference.

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/6892.pdf Page 6 far left first "! important" @24ohms you would have about 200W RMS which is really good but it is not 1000W RMS.

LOL I am running 2 10" W3v2s (but in the JL HO box) with a 500/1. It POUNDS but is supremly precise for the price. I have the loudest AND cleanest subs out of all my friends. JL FTW.
