D17 ECU and Computer Question.....
i have a 02 civic ex and down the line i want to turbo it but for now and maybe a while its going to be all motor.....which brings me to my question.....i was looking to get either the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate or the AEM plug and play.....i was wondering if anyone knew the differences between them and which one would be better for me......also if you know one that maybe better let me know.....thanks

the aem is more powerful but is nearly 3 times the price of a fully loaded greddy emanage. In my opinion, unless you're looking to get maximum performance out of the d17, the emanage is by far the best bang for the buck. i bought my emanage and installed it a few months prior to installing my turbo, tinkered with it for a little while to get used to the programming format. etc. Overall, im happy with it. I guess it's a biased opinon since ive never used, let alone seen an AEM ems. I just can't imagine that it would be that much better to justify the larger price tag though. Besides, if i like my blue emanage as much as i do, and based on what ive read, the ultimate is also a pretty kick *** unit.

the EMS is a literal ECU. its programmable for ANY thing. thats why it costs so much. emanage can control timing, vtec points, and a/f. im getting one soon. it will be worth it. the EMS is ALMOST not worth the money. but if you have plenty of that, then get AEM
