Umm, EVERYONE was a "NOOB" to this FORUM. and just because im a "NOOB" here, doesnt mean that i was born yesterday. So instead of flaming on 'NOOBS" old wise one, why do you not give them advice, like telling them to use the SEARCH button and then search for something like DIY and SPEAKER or something.

just did the speaker swap last weekend. Went great, however traumatic it is seeing the car
all apart. Just remember "pull", it all just pops out. Couldn't believe it

Which one is Ghostys sight. I checked the technical links and they didn't say anything about the diy on rear speakers.

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a shot. I'm not putting in any speakers right now but I plan on painting the rear deck silver to match my interior.

hey rockthumper
i put in some pioneers also. i put in the a6999 they were from my old accord. and well the speakers are too deep they block the trunk rods. so i spent time making little spacers too give me like a little bit of clearance. and well. that didn't work too. then i shaved the spacers i made down. to an exact fit. and well the everythign worked and sounded great but it didn't work. the cover wouldn't get on it. i looked and then realized that the way that the speakers were position and the rear deck is they just don't fit. stupid me i know. i should have checked that first. Damn. oh well!! but if anyone is interested in some speakers for a different car let me know. they're in great condition

ahh the wonders of crutchfield. all i did was look up my car and the speakers and compair numbers, mine fit perfectly. when we put the car back together tho, it rattled so bad when the bass would hit. i want to crank my stereo, but it rattles louder than the music. it's not a loose clip or screw or anything, i haven't been able to stop it from rattling.
