ngk spark plugs, our cars do not have spark plug wires. 5w-20, if you do synthetic then you must do synthetic oil for the life of your car. Mobil 1 oil is good.

You do NOT need to run synthetic for the life of the car. You can use it once or 100 times then switch back to dino oil. There is no harm in it. This is a VERY common myth about synthetic motor oil. everything else you said I agree with

you need a 5/8" sparkplug socket, a snazzy craftsman LOCKING extension bar (it saves you the trouble of having to fish the socket out of the spark plug tube after the plug doesn't release from the O-ring but the extension comes out of the socket) and a 4" or larger C-clamp for the brakes.

All these things a very easy, except the changing the brake fluid part. Make sure you change the spark plugs when the engine is cold. I love when people do it themselves, but the brake fluid might be over your head. Tell us how it goes and if you run into any problems, just ask.

and if you have to fish the spark plug out, easy way is just to take a hose and push it down on and pop it comes out. but on a side note if you ever want to covert your car to have spark plug wires you can get some Nology wires lol, as for why? I have no idea.

this is in addition to what Boiler said as far as tools go.....
best tool I got for plugs is a 8-10" extension bar with a wobble socket at the end (all one piece)...at harbor freight....just glued the boot in with "gorilla snot"

if you've never changed the brake fluid yourself before I suggest steering clear of that and letting someone do it who knows what they're doing...

Just make sure on the brk fluid to start at the right rear then left rear then right front then left front. and make sure the blleder is closed before your partner lets off of the pedal or air will enter the system and you'll have to bleed it out, bleeder screwws are almost always 8 or 10 mm

One of those big containers of brake fluid, a hose that fits on the bleeder screw, a clear cup or jar to put the old fluid in. Careful with the bleeder screws, you can round the edges real easy. And most importantly, brake fluid eats paint, so don't spill or spray the brake fluid on your car.

Oh yea and never let the master cylinder go dry while bleeding the brakes.
