High Output Alternator Kits Now Available!!!
Hi all,
With the help of an experienced alternator builder, I'm pleased to announce the release of a high output alternator kit for 7th gen Civics (01-05). What we did was take a small case GM alternator, have the case machined down to obtain the proper clearance, and then attached a Honda regulator, to create a system that bolts right in using the factory wiring. We also had a custom bracket created to allow use of the stock adjuster. These alternators put out between 170-200 amps and are as reliable as a factory system. The kit includes the alternator, a new belt, the bracket and a small spacer. These kits are ready to go, so if you are interested, you can buy any time.
There are 2 sizes available, a 170 amp version and a 200 amp version. Warranty on the 170 amp alternator is 6 months, and 3 months for the 200 amp.
The price for this kit is $550 CAD (approx. $480 USD) + shipping. If you are local to the Greater Vancouver area, professional installation can also be arranged through the shop responsible for producing the kits.
If you are interested or have any questions, you can either PM me here, or call Robert @ (604) 881-4441
Here's a few pics, I have more to upload that I will add later:
Everything included with the kit:

Stock Honda alternator (left) vs the new unit (right):

Sorry, forgot to post a price
It is capable of producing far more current (about 2.5x) than the stock alternator... if you're running a large system or anything else that draws a lot of current then this will be able to supply the power. The only way to stop your headlights from dimming.

All pics are of the actual unit.
The kit IS a GM alternator, CS130D to be more specific. The mounting is very similar to that of a 7th gen Civic.

They don't come off any vehicle, they are 100% brand new.
What GM id number are you talking about?
Any reference info can be found by going to http://www.teamshadowspl.com/ho_alts.php and scrolling down to Delco CS130D Series (4th alt down)

I still have to ask about the core charge credit, I will get back to u asap.
Yes, same price for both versions. Yes you could go with the 200amp becuase it does create more power, but the 170a does have its perks, like more power at idle.
