PLZ HELP!! Non-Rebounding Shocks??
PLZ HELP!! Non-Rebounding Shocks??
Hey everyone... Here's a big question I have that I've been trying and trying to get a straight answer on:
I just bought the Koni Sport (yellow adjustables) kit. The rear shocks don't rebound at all! Basically the rod doesn't push out from the cylinder and when I move the rod it just stays in that position.
I called Koni's tech support, they informed me the rears I got with the kit were hydraulic. Apparently they aren't supposed to rebound! Is this out to lunch or what?
The shocks are brand new, right out of the box, and there's no sign of leakage etc at all. What gives??

the koni rear shocks are not nitrogen gas charged...they're not supposed to rebound...all they do is dampen coil oscillations (spring movement) you can just adjust the ammount...the shock piston rod comming back up after you pushed it down only happens on gas charged shocks and not purely hydraulic shocks like the koni's...shoulda gone with tokico d-spec...they have both plus the technology on the d-specs are new and better...oh well koni's are still a good buy
