throttle body spacer question plz help

ok i just orders an obx throttle body spacer and ive read mixed reviews but i figured 50 bucks why not go for it. heres my problem ive read that there are clearence problems with the hood... i have an aem sri and im wondering whether or not i just blew 50 bucks or if therre was some way to get it to work

it makes some nice sounds, no power gain, but you might have to cut the intake pipe a bit to fit it in.

Or you could raise the hood. I have one with a racer design intake or oem box. Fits without problems. I would like to try the Injen intake though. I have used it with a V2 intake. But you have to raise the hood 'jdm" style?! As for performance, it is hard to tell, honestly.
