i was at weekly ep3 meet we have in the area and a em2 coupe showed up with a type s swap and man i was amazed clean car and it hauled ***. i got a ride in it i noticed thou that the whole freakin dash shook like crazy when he got on it. is this normal for you members with swaps ? the guy was tellin me its the mounts that are doin that he had the hasport kit

maybe but the whole time he took me on a drive on the highway he went from 60 - 120 and it just felt like the whole interior was gonna fall apart everything was vibrating really badly. maybe it was just the mad crazy vtak i'm not used to

he may have the stiffer urethane mounts. But imo something is not right. i swapped a b16a into my friends 90 civic hb and it didnt shake at all

It's the motor mounts causing it.

yep there's different durometer's in their motor mounts. street, race, and extreme with each one getting stiffer. the stiffer it is the less the engine shakes and the more the whole car shakes instead.

it is probley a upgrade motor mounts inserts. On my car, my interior only shake when I get on it real hard from startup (wheel hop). Beside that nothing shakes.

same here.. my motor doesnt vibrate the car and i got hasport... the only time it vibrates is when i dont rev it high enough at a stop light in first gear when the clutch is grabbing.. other than that everything is fine...

i concur...stiffer motor mounts...reduces engine movement...translates to chassis movement

if the car shakes really bad then one of the mounts are either broken or all the mounts are way too stiff...
