Can you weld stainless to aluminum

I just got the Stainless Magnaflow Muffler and it needs to be welded. Now i have the stock muffler on and i was wondering do i need to have a stainless axlepipe made or can this be welded to the stock piping system? its the magnaflow muffler for the EX 1.7 SOHC civic coupe

and how much would this cost me?

Well the stock pipe isn't aluminum, so I don';t know what you're talking about.
Its steel. I'm not even sure if its aluminized, but basically clean up the surface of the stock pipe and yes you can weld it. Take it to a muffler shop. It shouldn't cost too much, but you're basically going to pay what you're going to pay. its 1 weld.

hahaha.....

one of the VP's at northrop has a small paperweight on his desk. He said "im the best welder in the world, and i can prove it. Look at my paperweight"

His paperweight is a sample of his TIG welding skills. He managed to weld aluminum to Wood.

Of course it was fake, but he managed to lay a perfect bead that trailed the outline of the branch perfectly, then cut out the aluminum on the bead to fit the branch perfectly. The bead runs partly up on the branch. It seriously looks like he welded wood to aluminum.

Anyway, yea just take it to a muffler shop. I used to work for a muffler shop, and i did jobs like that all the time. Ive even done the titanium stuff (which is a major PITA!!! Damn false atmospheres!)
