You'll have to either make trunk springs yourself by taking off the stock trunk springs and making a set of your own from thicker steel, or you could add on trunk shocks. For some pictures of trunk shocks try: 2k1 Civic Trunk Shocks installation You can get all the parts for this from www.mcmaster.com

I would for sure go there and raise some hell. What the heck. You paid for a real Honda one, and they didnt give it to you. The real Honda ones either have Civic or Honda stamped on the bottom of the spoiler.
I agree with DaveD.... I am having the same doubt with my dealership. I have a feeling they didn't install a short shifter like I asked them too. I paid for the shizzle too... I am actually dealing with it this weekend, I suggest you do the same

Ah, I see! Hum... That's a pretty good place to put them. My trunk doesn't open up all the way with my setup (about 70 degrees instead of 90 degrees). Burrite's (the dude who made the trunk shocks I linked to) trunk opens to something like 80 degrees. I'll fix mine to open all the way soon. Well, as soon as I get my butt in gear. I think the warmer weather of summer will help me out in that area.

Well, I used a gas spring with threaded end, www.mcmaster.com part number 9416K16, stroke length 5.47". I think that was it. You'll have to go to www.mcmaster.com and lok for the second page of Gas Springs and Shock Absorbers that is under the category Power Transmition. Read some stuff in there and you'll be able to make your own. Need help, then PM me, or e-mail me at: dobosz@wpi.edu
