hey whats up guys. I need help on picking a muffler but can't really decide which one i want. Is there anyone here that has a megan muffler or have heard of it? lol. if so, are they any good? how's the sound? and which model would you recommend getting?

i got a megan racing muffler off a member here and its not bad, not raspy . got a nice tone to it, a low rumble...not loud @ all so dont need to worry bout no loud exhaust tickets

muffler, I assume weld on muffler, it's very rare they sound good on a 4 cylinder engine.

I Have A Megan Catback Exhaust And I Thot It Would Sound Like The Usual Rice Cats But Nope Deep And Toned Not Bumble Bee Like Either But I Got Mine Fabricated To Fit Nicely But Great CatBack For The Price

Megan stuff = eh........you can do better. get something like Tanabe, GReddy, HKS, RS-R, something alot better for your money, you get any of these i'm sure you'll be alot happier.

i have the megan header, custom 2.5 inch pipes, and the carbon fiber megan muffler and it's a very deep tone,,, and.. whoever said its quiet? def. NOT. i have gotten a ticket in md for this exhaust setup.. so buyer beware if u live in md or feel like crossing thru it.

sucks, i live in md, have a megan header, hi flow cat and megan cat-back, no ticket!
i have got warned when pulled over for tint that i should get the tint striped off, new taillights cuz mine are too dark, headlights with no amber blinker, cuz there blacked out, license plate in the front window and my exhasut, but he jus wanted to see my car up close cuz he liked it, lol, didnt wanna giv me a ticket
anyway, wehre do u live in MD?

if u think about it big exhaust piping works like a megaphone, unless u have something bigger than a D17, ur always gonna have a bumble bee ish noise, of course i agree some are better than others... but in general its all the same. my megan sounded deep and had a very nice tone. however, if u record audio from outside, sounds just like any other rice exhaust... but yea it wasnt overly loud either, i got my megan catback off ebay for around $325.

Well I rather not have sound at all,Police here in P.R.are always on the hunt for sounds.They will stop you just when they see that H on your gril sow I got Invidia 3" inout only sound when over 5000 rpms and police

I had a megan racing cat-back and the welds broke on the muffler so i swaped it for a apexi N-1. didnt sound to bad though.

i got the complete megan setup...im not like most ppl who rant about how good their mods/brand name mods are....but i pulled into the mall the other night to meet my boy blah blah blah.... i pulled in and there were like 5 squad cars there (this is way in the back). I double parked got out and they looked at meh and i said "wassup fellas" they gave me a weird look and one said thats a nice car sounds really good i laughed and said the music or the exhaust (sry mang not scared of 5!0!) he flipped one eyebrow and said the exhaust... remember i got TV's in the visors, headrests, 8 speakers (including sub), full exhaust and 3% tint w/ 7" windshield strip.
