saw this and wanna do it

Hi guys i have a 2002 lx coupe and i remember a while back when shopping for my vic i saw a 2001-03 coupe with a civic hybrid front bumper (i think the hybrid was of the 01-03 generation also). it looks really good and i'd like to the conversion myself but i was wondering does it fit right on or will there be custom molding involved?

it seems like it would work since the front end is pretty much the same in terms of headlights and stuff.

It fits perfectly. No modding at all. You will need the radiator cover. The other models will not fit. The grill is not changeable. Fog lights from a 04-05Civic will work. I recently did this to my car. No pics yet. Will get them soon.

radiator cover

thanks for the response. i'm happy to hear that this isn't too hard to do.

what does the radiator cover look like and where can i get one?

maybe you could post a DIY w/ some pics cause i'm sure some other people would want to do this.

You remove and replace just like the original bumper, same clips, same mounting points, etc. The rad cover is the black piece between the bumper and the upper rad support.
Check out hondaautomotiveparts.com. Plug in the 2003 Civic Hybrid bumpers for the part in the drop down menus.

it just allows more crap to go down there, its not that important, just take off the bumper everyonce and awhile and clean it out.

There will be a gap of about 3 inches between the bumper and radiator support. I believe it also forces the air through the radiator instead of blowing over it. It finishes the look.

meh, it looks alright. It's definatly different which is important when you have a civic but I would like to see a better angle of it before I say sexy.

oh, I love Honda too. But I want to get rid of the license plate holder b/c in AR we are not required to have on and it breaks up the flow of the bumper. So I saw the hybrid bumper and it does not have that so I was goign to get that but found out here that the grill does not swap and the one on there is too noticable IMO. And I don't want to waste money on an aftermarket bumper
