A difference with mobil 1?
I recently changed to mobile 1 from dino oil. I think there is a difference in both mileage and power... small, but there. Web searches showed that most cars got some improvement with synthetic over dino, with smaller engines seeming to get more. Anyone else experience any improvement with mobile 1?

Dino...wtf...Oh, Conventional!
I've used Mobil 1 on my past 2 cars, and what seems to make a NOTICEABLE difference is the weight...Not much. On my 03 Cavalier, going from 15w-50 for Summer to 5w-30 for winter I could tell that the engine accelerated thru the rev band much easier. The Civic though I started out with Mobile 1 and haven't had any problems at all. As for gas mileage improvements, I really can't tell the difference. Both cars got over 35 mpg so I never really paid attention to fuel mileage

I've noticed absolutely no difference in performance between all of the 5w20s I've used in my car. That includes Mobil 1. The marketing sure does give you a warm, fuzzy feeling about running it in your car!

mobil 1 burns off very quickly ... even though the study isn't on a honda, it's not unheard of of oil burning off in honda motors... very common, actually.
both in my D17 and K20, I burned a lot of oil with mobil1 ...

A lube shop told me "moble one" leaves some kind of FILM inside your oil pan & will get worse with time! (this is just what I heard from a shop I go too) Food for thought I guss

hmm freeway response was alot better. it wants to keep going where before anything above 70 felt like a serious struggle. It can go up to 100 no problem and wants to go more
