knocking or shakin in drivers side wheel well

Well, just about a month ago my tie rod bolt was stripped and everytime i would hit the brakes it would start shaking REALLY bad, so i brought it to the shop and they replaced the tie rod.

for a month it was driving normal.

Just before having someone come buy the car today i took it out for a spin and every time i wouldnt gas or brake, there would be this knocking sound like something is hitting another thing. when i brake and gas it doesnt shake or knock so its normal. only when i dont do anything it starts knockin and it sounds like it is in the drivers side wheel well where the tie rod was replaced a month ago.

so please, some one give me some info on what it might be? i'm afraid if i replace the tie rod it might do that again later down the road. thanks

cliff notes
-car shaked
-tie rod replaced, shaking gone
-1 month later a knockin sound occurs when brake or gas pedal isn't applied

my friend has a similar thing ... except it shakes/knocks all the time ... worse when he applies more throttle ... we think it's the axles...

he's gonna replace them this weekend, so ... we'll see ...
