Got nailed for speeding and my exhaust last night, and then tonight, i got nailed for my tint. Boo on CHP right now. Anyone know someone to write off on the tint and the exhaust? I'll pay the speeding fine, cuz i was speeding... so thats not a problem. Im a lil surprised it didn't happen earlier, since i haul ***** up to fullerton everyday for the past 6 months.

So yeah, know anyone to sign off on the fix it tickets, so i don't have to unweld my exhaust, or rip off my tint?

I heard that in South Orange County area the CHP is trying to raise money and that they are going to give out tickets more often now. You can be given a ticket if you are 7mph over the limit.

umm well i work in a courthouse and i know that the only way you can get outta it is to make an apointment with the commissioner/judge. sometimes, depending on their charater, they'll probably let you off on the exhaust if you make up some bs like it's just a decorational tip or what ever. tint.......mmmm......sorry bro nothing you can really do there. just spend a couple bux taking it off and replacing it. speeding......you can make up lame shet like youre in school, working part time, need to pay bills cant afford to pay for that and other shet and the judge, depending, could let you off with as little as 10 bux, i've seen it. so just be smart about choosing your excuses. i mean that is if you want to take that approach, but yeah only judges can write it off.

Ok, i was going 80, he was "pacing me." The first CHP was nice about it, he came over, asked if i knew that having a modified exhaust was illegal... I played dumb and said no. Then he came back up and asked if the windows were tinted, and again i tried to play it off. I said the back ones were, cuz the front ones were rolled all the way down. (it was 1145 pm) He jsut gave me a look and said, no the front ones. I said yeah. I figured i'd get hit for that too. But he didn't, just wrote it for the speed and the exhaust.

Then, the one on Thurs night was a real ***. He was behind me the whole time, so how could he see that my front windows were tinted? Anyway, whats the fine for the exhaust? Im broke and living on student loans....

And i go to Western State law school. Right across the street from CSUF.

exhaust you can usually just fix it and get it written off.

 

I can't fix it, i don't have the stock exhaust anymore. Also, i had it welded up so it wouldn't scrape, so its welded to my undercarriage.

So, that's not really an option. How much is the "fine" for the exhaust.

should be 110 bucks around there... i got rolled a few weeks ago.. bro just go back to stock and keep the axelback if u had one.. its not worth it anymore.. more cops are going to be on the road from jan 25 and on.. so just go back to stock for the time beening.. is the citaton 27151 (a) if so.. should be 110 bucks and its not a point on your record.. just the dmv will be notified but thats it.. pay it and case closed more less...

I am taking responsibility for the things i've done. I said Boo on the CHP for pulling me over twice in less than 24 hours, especially with the second pullover being a pretext.. I guarantee if i was a guy, he would have checked out my engine.

i feel bad for you in cali i'm sure i would get pulled over too even tho everything is legal on my ride.

 

Everything is legal on mine too, except for the tint. The exhaust is a bullsh*t ticket, and if mine waasn't welded on, i wouldn't even sweat it. But it's NOT... I think the only reason why they didn't check under the hood was 1) it was dark/late both times i got pulled over, 2) it was on the freeway, and 3) im a girl.

I was just hoping that the exhaust ticket would only be 50 or something....

its a fix it ticket, but i can't fix it cuz its welded on. Im trying to find someone to write it off, cuz i would rather not pay the fine...... We'll see, though. it's looking like i will have to shell out the $$ For it.

why cant the shop weld back your stock exhaust? doesn't seem like a big deal to me. or just buy a cheap ebay silencer and stick it in when they do the DB test
