your wrong there.. on psi.. I was running 13psi daily on the TSI kit and 16 psi at the track it just tops out there being that the most it can handle is 20psi with the t24bb turbo. Yes its internally wastegated but the tsi injection control module allows the changes . Its not a bad setup for a little more power to the wheels but overall better fuel management would be recommended from my experience.

I have TSI extreme w/t25 and run 8-9psi daly. For the fuel I have 2 extra injectors (great little box!) and missing link for map sensor. Sor some reason tsi map black box did not want to work for me, so I got missing link instead - I think its better then black box.
I like it.
Problem is tracsion, when went wheels spin through 1/2/3 gears...

the TSI kit itself is a great kit once tuned and setup properly I was one of those few that with a built automatic returned really impressive gains from it. Its pitfall is the fuel management thats about it and the universal BOV that is used normally comes on DSM's from the factory.

Thats the TSI kit that you can buy of TurboKits.com I had that turbo kit in my car and it ran great,,,,, but after puttin down some extra $$$$$ on fuel management $hit. it got pretty expensive. I didnt ge the 2 Injectors with the Interface block, I had the S-AFC sent to me. Thats probably why too.. But i had to get a return line for fuel, A.F.P regulator and a **** load of otha stuff... I was like you once!.. Thinkin i had a show car and maybe spice it up with a turbo ya knw>? well a year after i had the turbo in the car.. my oil return like had a leak, next thing you knw my car was on fire.........
and that about SUMS up for my TSI Kit experience..... lol
Hope you get ready to go through some headaches my friend!...
Good Luck!

no means to jack thread.. but im debating buying this kit, and i thought tuning is a must before u drive. Are yah saying that u can drive it around untuned? cuz if i do get it put on i may not be able to get it tuned for a few days, and my work is 30+ miles away from home. Would it be okay to drive it to and from work untuned? (im trying to buy a SF kit from JEFF but he is freakin AWOL!) so i may go tsi.

... YOUR ALL HAPPY NOW, but wait till you get it and then your FUEL starts acting up.. wait till you get to the tunnin part.. OOH buddy you got it commin, hopefully you got money for dyno's because ill let you knw right now, if you plan in gettin your car turbo charged and not tunnin in it as its supposed to be.. Youll be either runnin RICH as hell when your car is on IDLE but then LEAN As F^%$ when boostin or vice/versa.. Hopefully it has been a bit more mastered now since then. back when i had it, it was only few that had the car runnin right, and then they still had issues. With that car catching on fire, Insurance payd it off.I used that money for a down payment on a car that was meant to be turbo'd. 04 Suburu STI.... BUt yea d00d... Hopefully you knw what you;re doing. Cuz you dont want to warp your engine apart by not having it done right. Theres plenty of guyz here that can give ya advice.. Sorry you had to speak about it again....
Unfortunately this can happen to anyone and you lucky didnt get injured. Its good that everything worked out fine at the end.
For mild boost settings 6-10psi this fuel set up will be just allright. Tuning with TSI 2 injectors unit its not that complicated if its done on a dyno. If A/F goes off desired setting, this is probubly due to outside weather change. Turbos are sensitive to temperature change.
Its advised to make separate dyno tunes for winter and summer driving...(for each season is the best thought)
