DIY Boost/Vaccum guage
Changed my line over to copper after I pinched my nylon. Figured i'd make a DIY.
First you have to run the line. I ran mine through the gromet where the throttle cable comes through. up and under neath my guage cluster.

Then have enough line to connect to the back of the guage. Remember to use nylon tape in all your connections. Then slide on the female end and the little bead thing(that is what makes the seal.)

Then find where you where tap into the Vaccum line. I have a golden eagle vaccum box but if you don't you can use a T to tap into the main vaccum line. Just remember to make sure their are no vaccum leaks or else you will not have breaks and your idol will be really ruff. Probably loop between 800-1600 rpm after you rev it.

Main vaccume line

Then simply make the connection.

After that turn on the car and see if it works.

As far as wiring i connect mine to my fuse box on an open slot. The brown wire is my SF fuel system connection that come on with ignition and also makes for daytime running lights. connect it to the open slot to the right of that for your light.

Hope this can be of help to some people.

dont you have more than one vacuum line? emanage boost sensor and the gauge? i got a universal T from www.egauges.com it has three different grades of width so you can cut it if the hose is bigger than the smallest one.
where did u pick up the copper line? how much?
is it flexible at all?
i have a gauge installed just not connected to vacuum cus the hose they gave didnt reach far enough and its hard plastic and it got squished in one spot.

You can get the copper line at almost any hardware store and it's very flexible. They also sell a "tool" which is nothing more than a spring with a flare at one end for bending flexible line without pinching it, but I doubt you'll need that for something this simple.

the copper line is actually a set from autometer, it is a guage upgrade. it comes with the line and all the fittingss. i got it at my local performance shop. It came to $10 and change after taxes. to cut it i used the 12 guage wirecutter on my strippers as a pipe cutter to keep from pinching the edges. then sanded the end down to slid the fittings on.
