Bottle heater sending unit location
Bottle heater sending unit location
I was wondering if it would matter on where to put the sending unit for my bottle heater? It reads pressure instead of temperature. I thought I'd put it at the solenoid with the pressure gauge sending unit. That way the pressure readings on the gauge would be more in tune with the operation of the heater. The way I understand it, the heater sending unit turns off when a certain preset pressure is reached. It has an adjustment screw on it.

I would put it at the bottle as a safety precaution. If it reads it too low at the solenoid, it could overheat. It's not as accurate, but it's safer...
The instructions show it at the bottle but I think I'm gonna run it at the solenoid. Wouldn't it be alright to run the settings a little bit on the low side to factor in the probable pressure difference due to the long nitrous line to the soledoid? Say cut off at around 800psi? I have it wired up real nice. I put in a light that tells me when the heater is actually on and the light cuts off when the heater cuts off.
