looking for a reg. air filter for the new civics isn't so hard you just have to know where to look walmart doesn't usually have stuff for brand new cars so try your local auto parts or even the honda dealer sometimes you just have to order the darn thing so don't give up just cause you need to ask someone doesn't make you stupid i had to order mine from a third party cause i didn't want to pay 15 dollers for one from honda so i went to discount and ordered it easy right
I will assume since you asked about oil that your looking for an oil filter. ALL Honda's, 6cylinders and 4 cylinders for at least the last few years take the same oil filter. So the filter for a 1999 Accord is the same as what you need.My 2k1 Civic takes the same filter as my brothers 1998 6 cylinder Accord. Make sure you get some oil plug washers from the dealer..they are like 25cents a piece. And don't use the neoprene ones either, use the aluminum ones or whatever the metal ones are made of.
As for oil I quit wasting my money on Honda's 5w-20. I have been running Castrol 5w-30 and have had NO problems. I have run this oil in my Ford 2.0 Liter Z-TEC motor since new. It now has 103,000 miles on it and regularly see's 6500-7500 rpms(Yes this is past its redline by about a 1000rpms) so I know its good oil. Hope this helps.
