Ticket Citation: VC 27151 (a)
ok today I got pulled over for having a loud exhaust.. luckly cop didnt check anything else besides look at my hks muffler... he wrote me a citation for loud exhaust not a fix-it ticket so I need to go to court... so im planning on putting my stock cat and mid pipe back on with stock muffler till ticket is resolved...
but can i still get the ticket written off.. even though its not a fix it ticket.. or wait till court date and tell the judge hey look at my car its completely stock... and write it off.. or do i need to pay a fine.. and goto a state ref.. then get it signed off.. and does it go on my driving record.... or could i do a mail in and plege "not guilty" and send pics in and a written statement... and get it signed off... plzz give me your imputs on how I should go about doing this....
one more thing i have a megan test pipe/magnaflow mid.. with hks exhaust.. so its loud...

first of all, does the box checked say correctable violation?
if yes, go to a CHP office with your stock muffler on. say you put your exhaust back to stock and they will sign off your ticket. go pay the 10 dollar fine at the police station.
if not, go to the court. ask for a court date to see a judge to see if he/she can change it to a correctable violation. but still put the oem muffler on and get it signed off... if the judge says "ok" you can juust go pay the ticket the same day...

the citation says none correctable... so i have to go to court... it set for 1-26-06 so i have time... and yes im going back to stock for the time being so i can get this sh*t done... but what if the judge says no.. can i say my car his back to stock and can i get it written off... since u have been in this spot.. i think ur the best person to answer this question...

just put it back to stock, say that you have had previous tickets like this before and they have been fix it tickets. and you can't afford tickets like this because you are a poor collage student...
