i'm guessing not. the auto tranny is a 5 speed and the k20a2 and k20a is a six speed. besides they only come in standard transmission and the gear ratios will be different. the reflash of the ecu is a possibility but i doubt it.

I always thought RSX-S came with manual trannys.
I know a girl she drives pseudo RSX-S with auto, but she just put a rsx-s rear badge on her premium model.

Thats a complete waste of a perfectly good motor
I can just see what's happening in that transmission case as the motor runs to 8400....

OR

ok.... you don't seem to quite get it.... but fluid clutches in an auto are not going to like running that fast. Overheating and big time slippage is imminent. There's a reason that none of the cars that have these insane redlines have autos in them.
Not to mention the logic for the computer is not going to let it run that high because it still thinks the redline is 6700.

Oh snap...........swapping a bigger motor and using a auto tranny is like wiping before you poop. It doesn't make sense.

totally waste of money imo. Plus you will still get beaten by a base rsx, cuz you have no control over ur rpm/redline.
So let me ask why would you want to spend ~6k on a auto k20a2 swap???

WHOA! Youre thinking using the R18's auto tranny and putting it against the K20Z3 2.0L motor? thats even crazier than your K20A(2) K20A3 tranny idea.

eh ... he said he isn't able to drive it, not by choice ... which probably means he physically cannot do it ... let's give the guy a break, eh?

auto k20a2 may work, but a tranny cooler would probably be your best friend ... along with some synthetic tranny fluid that can withstand some very high temperatures.

you would also HAVE TO get an auto base rsx ecu along with K-Pro if you wanted to goto the auto k20a2/k20z3 route. if you went with a base auto k20a3, a base auto k20a3 would be fine.

since it's probably never been done (auto a2 swap), you may have some issues with getting the shift cables (or whatever the auto trannies use) to line up/reach correctly ... it may have to be a very custom and very, very expensive swap.

but yeah ... as stated previously, auto tsx is probably the best choice

k-pro no worky on automatic ECU's.

TSX auto would be a royal bitch i'm guessing (for the high 15's/low 16's it would produce auto) and since the manual TSX tranny won't fit our cars, i'd say there isn't a ton of hope that the auto transmission would either.

so your most reasonable option is again, k20a3
