That's a pretty good price installed.... but if I were you, if I was going to swap, I would get the type-s motor instead. It'll be more worth while.

I think a full swap with all the parts like hoses and radiator and crap usually goes for like $1500 i think. Just go to k20a.org and just search around. The lowest i ever seen for a k20a3 is $900 and $1500 for toward the higher end.

you better find out what kind of motor he is gonna put into your car.

there is a world of difference between the k20a3 and k20a2 motors ...

oh yes...find out for sure the engine code of the motor hes gonna put in !
but if it is a K20A3 motor..and thats all you can get...its a world of a difference than our motors..haha. so 3500 w/ labour is alright.

That's a really good deal. If it was 2 years ago you'd be paying up to 7G's for the whole swap.

technically its a jdm type r.. jdm type s..si hybrid...

the block itself is stamped K20A... compression is 11.5:1

thats the only part of it i see being the type r

the head only has vtec on the intake side which is weird..

what makes it weird is the a type R and type S has vtec on both the intake and exhaust cams.... the si doesnt have any... my head on the other hand has it on the intake side only... import tuner came out with an article saying my motor is a jdm type s....

there are so many specualtion to the whole story and you can see it how you want... but it dont really matter cause my block is a K20A with 11.5:1 compression and i have a head that was port and polished with stage 2 cams and new valvetrain ready to be put on the motor...

but when i get a chance to i will scan it in.. its in the november issue..

Thanks for clearin that up. That's a pretty odd combination. What made you use an si head? Still sounds dope though, i'd like to see that article.

For a full K20A2 swap in a 7th gen civic cost $8300...this will include motor swap, all parts and stuff needed including mounts, and the labor here is 1,100.
