adjustable springs

ok, well this guy thats in a car club with me is a mechanic and he has these adjustable springs that he says will fit on any struts, there made for 88-01 civics, but he said there cheap and hes installed them on a mustang before and hasnt had any problems, he said he will give them to me and help me install them for $100, cuz the person he bought them for, (someone that drives and 04 civic) never came up with teh cash for them, so hes gonna sell em to me, he said they will fit cuz there basically universal, they slide over the struts and they will work is what he said, what u guys think, i have an 02 civic ex coupe by the way

Otherwise known as sleeved coilovers. They're not universal. You need the right spring lengths and rates for the car and you need the proper mounting hardware.

alright, well i got em tonight, and there not universal, he was jus making a point that this name brand makes em for every car, i misunderstood him, they are for my car, 01+ civic 2 door, and in the directions it talks about macphorson (sp?) struts, so its definetly for my car
