Ok, here I go. Yesterday the race was arranged by my co worker. His friend drives a SW20, turbo! The race took place at a seven or eight mile road that hardly anyone goes on, I call it "No lane road" because there are no indications or marks of any lane divider what so ever. After work, I met the driver, he's a little older than I am, I would say 28 or 29 and that SW20 of his looks mighty tough.
My co worker got in his car and I followed him to where he wanted to race.
I thought to myself, "This is going to be interesting. I wonder how good he is." Arrived at the sight, followed him to the end and he allowed me to practice on it for about an hour or when ever I'm ready. Now remember, the road is about 7 miles long from what he says and its in broad daylight. "Cops never come around here. I speed on this road all the time.", he says. So I did what I had to do. When I was ready, he placed me in front since I'm I have lesser HP, and I'm thinking to myself, "Has this guy watched too much Initial D or something? I thought we suppose to start off side by side."
And the race is off! Just about a minute into the race, he decided to pass me and I can hear that pssshing sound or whatever you call it. He blew me away but on the corners, I manage to catch up, yeah, just about a car length at every corner then he ends up speeding away again.
I did not pay any attention on how fast I was going, all I kept an eye on was HIM, but the way he drives is similar to mine. The dude uses up every inch of the mother fockin asphault as he corners, and the edge of his outter tires were no more than half an inch away from going into the gravel, dirt after exiting a corner. So pretty much I try to pick up some shiet from him but I could not comprehend it. Before the race ended, he was about 1/4 of a mile in front of me so pretty much, I LOST!
I mean, I didn't get mad, but I was satisfied about losing to someone who is better than I am.
I told my co worker that his friend is really good, the man knows his shiet, and knows how to and when to apply it, unlike many others who I had encounter in the OC months before I left Cali. I think its due to lack of power. What do you guys think it was?
