K20A swap JDM Type R
okay, I have read the post on what's needed for a k20 swap into my em2, but heres the question, are there any additional modifications or parts other than whats needed for any k20? The JDM is right hand drive, does that make a difference?

The motor is a motor. you could mount it upside down and it wouldn't matter. Where does the motor care where you're driving from? People have been dropping RHD SR20s in cars for years. Not to mention all the B18Cs that have magically appeared in LHD cars. Come on, use your head.

Biolermaker1, I see no need for sarcasm, and I don't think the motor would run upside down.
I was curious if the stock d17 tranny would bolt up to a k20a, that was designed for a car that is driven on the left side, that is all. I have not seen any schematics and have no experience of how the japan cars are designed.
So what your saying is there is no diff. mechanically between the k20a and k20a2 as far as engine and tranny are concerned? That is all I needed to know.

There are mechanical differences between the K20A2 and K20A, but nothing that stops you from putting it in the car.
I take it you've never seen the engine bay of a US RSX or something.... cuz the engine is in the SAME SPOT. its the same car. Type S, Type R, iS, Base, whatever the hell model it is, a K20 is a K20, they all go in the RSXs the same way.
I seriously hope you're not trying to buy one if you don't know how it goes into the car.
