Tanabe SRM full cat back exhaust trade?
Hey guys, testing waters here, but I'm trying to trade my Tanabe SRM cat back exhault for a stock one from an EX coupe. I sold the downpipe that came with the tanabe exhaust package, so if you have an EX, it would be no hassle, but if you have an LX or DX, u'll need to buy that extra piece, which is more problematic. Of course, if you are willing to deal with that issue, then I am willing to trade as well.
I was looking for $250 (includes silencer)+your stock exhaust (pretty firm).
My car is NOT slammed (tein SS-P's with 2.5 finger gap), but I can't avoid the occasional scrapes from the really steep driveways around San Diego. The condition is very good, and a section of the piping has been modified to cope with my progess rear sway bar. When I first installed the sway bar, the exhaust was banging on the bar, so I took it to Meineke (whether that be a good or bad thing) to have them customize a section of the exhaust for me. Its perfect fit, and will not interfere with any sway bars you may have. It tucks snugly as you can see in the picture below. I think they did a good job customizing it, but I know there are ppl who don't like Meineke for whatever reason, please don't trash this thread because of that.
here's a most recent pic:

I don't have access to a camera at the moment, so I can't get more shots of the exhaust, but there's really not much else to see, it sounds great, it does have scratches but you can't see them obviously, so if you are a perfectionist, this is not for you.
If you are interested, PM me and we'll set up a pickup time/date and drive down to a local shop and just have them swap the exhausts or something like that and split the costs.
peace,
-Dave

i thought so as well, and yes frmo what i remember (and this was a long *** time ago) the pipe didn't have a cat, just an enlarged bulgy section of the pipe. I don't have that piece anymore, but it wasn't required for the EX, its only required on the LX, so the shop that installed it for me didn't put it on. A member on this forum needed the piece, and he had an LX so i sold it to him, though i dont remember his SN
I hope i didn't remember wrong, but when i purchased the exhaust, that's what I remember seeing
