I am not sure what you are asking? If you dont know what your doing or dont have any mechanical knowledge about what your trying to install then let a shop install them for you. Otherwise with the right tools, you can easily install them.

gangrel138 is an unknown quantity at this point
Or you can read the DIY about this. Front Sway Bar DIY Took me about 2 hours to do and the worst part was wrestling the new sway bar into place around the exhaust piping.

he either means lower tie-bar, or rear upper strut bar,...or maybe sway bar?

Please clarify as to what part you are refering to when you say "Lower Strut bar"

Just an FYI... a strut bar, by deffinition, would be a chassis reinforcement that attaches to the mounting points of a strut type suspension... meaning with our cars, ONLY the front upper chassis brace attaching to the strut towers should be refered to as a "strut bar" other wise, chassis braces that attach to the suspension points on the car, be them upper or lower, should be properly refered to as Tie bars. So, on our car we have 4 chassis braces dealing with the suspension mounts... 1 strut bar (front upper) and 3 Tie bars. (note: all strut bars are Tie bars, but not all tie bars are strut bars).

other then that, some times people confuse Anti-roll bars, AKA: Sway bars, Sways, roll bars, as Tie bars or Strut bars... but Anti-roll bars are a completly different part that does a completly different job.
