All Cars Car Show and '06 Honda Test Drive
Everyone, i got an opportunity for you all, interested in driving the new 2006 Si before your friends?

Basically, its going to be an AWESOME HONDA car show, theyre going to have the new Civics out there and its going to be a big show, sort of like NOPI Nationals: "COME SHOW OFF YOUR RIDES!"

Admission = FREE, you get to drive the cars, eat, drink and watch PITBULL and DAMIAN MARLEY LIVE, for FREE.

Judging starts at 9:00am and lasts until 2:00pm. Please make sure you arrive early enough to have your car judged. Late arrivals will not be included in the judging.
After signing in, you will be given a credential for the event and directions for the route of Ultimate Cruise, which will begin at the Miami Arena and end at The Dade County Fairground Complex.

WTF!!?? I called that number and now they are saying that to drive the car, it's only through a dealer invitation, or Honda employees?? I registered online and I printed a paper that says: FREE GUEST DRIVE (Sat. & Sun) with my name on it and everything...
Anyways, appearently they don't know about the Civic Live Tour link, I'm sending them the link and they said they were going to call me...we'll see...

Rep Power: 0 You can go the day of the event and register as well, If you tell them who reffered you it's easier so that you can get it.. so like i said say Mike reffered you cause he is one of the guys that the event cooridnator is working with on getting people to go out there!

Rep Power: 397 It sucked, someone went into vtec and the car flipped on a corner, they got out in time but it caught fire after that for some reason. When they got the flames out it was like 50% car 50% charcol.. so we didnt get a chance to drive it...

Rep Power: 397 No, he had to go to the hospital for some injuries. It was a little commical becvause when he got out of the car he kept saying, "vtec was way better than the s2k." I guess that jump from non-vtec to vtec in the middle of the corner forced the car to lurch foward to much and topple over. I believe he was ok, but the car was toast.

Yes, I did get to drive the Si last Saturday and all I have to say is WOW!!
This is a hell of a car. The Honda crew was letting everyone test drive all models by yourself on the car through two autocross tracks. I was only interested on driving the Si so that's what I test drove. I had never before driven a car with this much power plus I've never done autocross either, but for those of you with Type S experience, I'd imagine this car should feel very close to it. The LSD worked great on oversteer geting the car out of the hole so much quicker, no slugishness whatsoever(notice the sway bar pics.) The ergonomics on this car felt great. The seats hold your ribcage in place very well and the shifter is a bliss, could be a little shorter though..I'm 5'9" so I had noproblems with the gauges either. The tracks were set up in a way that I couldn't pass 2nd gear so I wasn't able to rev it real good and feel the v-tec kicking in, but those 10 laps on the Si that Saturday made my weekend. This is a very promising car with an underrated engine and without a doubt, the best civic ever.
By the way, sources have already stated that autoXing, it beats the VW GTI turbo, the mazda 3 speed and the Scion TC...and the car hasn't been realeased yet
