DO you suggest this exhaust dump powered by a turbo? look

ive got a turbo kit i want to get on before oct. 8th and i dont have the dough for a cat-back plus i dont know which one to get. so should i get this cutout operated by turbo boost? or should i just do my own exhaust (ive got all the resources) or should i get cat-back? (ive heard cat-backs arent wide enough for turbo setup.
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=BCS
should i go for this or just get an electric one i operate

thats a cool fix but thats not gunna pass inspection hahaha!

if you remove the catalytic converter and then get a cat-back you are all good. but the cat is a big choking point.

you can always make a full exhaust from right off the turbo to a nice high flow muffler and have excellent breathability.

Not sure you want to go that route. Just do it once and right. Get a local muffler shop to build you a 2.5" cat-back.

resonator will probably not be needed because sound levels on turbo cars are usually not a problem, unless at WOT. NH is emissions strict, so good luck on passing. I would reccomend a good high flow cat like a Random Tech Metallic Substrate Universal weld on.

weld it into exhaust and under boost it uses vaccum to open the plate and allow for unrestricted airflow out that hole. i think for the money id rather buy electric ones from summit racing.

Yeah, I like the Quicktime ones better. I think they're kick-***. You can leave them closed and be all stealthy (I would still use my stock muffler) and then when it's time, you just hit the switch. Living in California, I will probably never run anything other than a stock muffler again (Damn cops and smog *****). I think the Quicktime cutout is how I'm gonna go on all my cars from now on.

ive heard that its dangerous cus a turbo system can produce more flames in the exhaust than stock? would it be a bad idea to have one of these halfway through the car?

I have seen this before. It opens up under full throttle and makes alot of racket. It might work just make sure its pipe is pointing down.

I would run 3" piping from your turbo back into a 3" resonator and then to one of the 3" cutouts. After the cutout, I would gradually step the piping size back down to stock size and into the stock muffler. There's 1,000 ways to set it up and I'm sure all would work well but this is just how I'd do it. In fact, this is what I'm planning on my next car. (VQ35DETT)

The stock muffler and piping is too restrictive for turbo. You will cause more backpressure than the system can handle which will probably cause the CAT to implode and possibly destroy your turbo over time as well.

Once again. Do it once, do it right.

Go big. Get 3" piping and a 3" muffler.
