LOWERING A SEDAN
I am thinking about lowering my sedan. I am probably going use Sprint springs (2" drop). I've done searches on this, but I want CONCRETE, EXPERIENCED answers: 1) will i need a camber kit? 2) will i need new shocks?

with a 2 inch drop...you will need both.
if you dont get the camber your alingnment will be off....and if you dont get the shocks then you better drive careful, cause you can bottom out your shocks and possibly blow em out.
i would reccomend both

Okay... Answer is.
Suspension is the same as the coupe. With the exception of wheel clearance in the well. Otherwise everythings the same. Fo what's good for coupes is good for sedans..
BTW. I drive a sedan as well.

for a sedan, i think its best you go with neuspeed, h&r or eibach, buts it up to you, even with these high quality springs, ppl with sedans have busted there shocks in 1 year......... if your really worried about busting yoru shocks, get ground controls
I have a sedan and I went with Sportlines 1.75" because I wanted a great ride. I hate the bumpy rides. I looks great I don't have any pic's up yet soon though. I have to get a camber kit for the rear cause it tilts in. But if you want a great ride go with sportlines.

OK, this is gonna be a dumb question: if i get coilovers, it will replace not only my springs, but also my shocks as well, so i won't need to buy anything else (except a camber kit), right?

hey dogstyle, i looked at your pics and i like the way it looks with the pro kit. how much is that lowered and did you get any other suspension parts such as camber kit or struts?
Nope i didn't get anything else.. but as you can see from the pic i can use a rear camber adjustment... the ride is pretty nice... although going slow over huge *** bumps help a great deal.. i just did the springs for now.. i've hit some huge bumps.. and hard too.. and my shocks are good..i've actually ramped my car off a huge dip in the road (by accident of course) prolly caught some air, and they're still good

I've got pro kit ordered. I'll try and measure before and after. I'll also see if my tire guy can align it without any camber kit before I take it out. Glad to hear your stock shocks are working because I want to wait for Tokico before I change shocks.
I'm confused about Eibach springs and their camber kits. For example, Dogstyle has pro-kits(~1.0 drop) and from the pics he also has a pretty bad negative camber problem in the rear. Now check out ALLMAN'S ride on the first page of member's rides. He is sitting on Eibach Sportlines(~1.5-1.8 drop) and he has no camber problems and doesn't have the camber kit installed! Isn't this a little weird? ALLMAN has a lower drop than Dogstyle and has no camber problems! Are Eibach springs inconsistent???
