L@@K at this turbo manifold

does anyone think this manifold would fit the d17? the pipes from the manifold are long and I dont know if its good like that because i remember the sf manifolds were awesome and wayy shorter.

Top mount manifolds wont work on a d17, Unless you want to cut a hole in your hood.

Did you see the pic that mxcivic just posted? It's a full-race style on a 7th gen. And the turbo is a bottom mount.

Is that a picture of scrappy's turbo manifold? I requested pics from him and that was one of them. Very weird shape.

yeah but still all this drama, people say it wont fit and people say it will. So do you think it will fit? judging by the other pic with the d17 eng ine, seems like it will fit. COlor dont mind at least if it makes some power.

What does that have to do with the manifold Civic_RedLine posted?

RedLine, i dont think it will fit. The turbo flange looks a little to close to the manifold flange to fit a t3. And the manifold flange is thin as hell! Looks at mx's mani and youll see that his turbo flange is sideways.

What are you talking about? In the two pictures in this thread, they are BOTH BOTTOM MOUNT MANIFOLDS!!! I don't know what you're looking at but they are the same basic design. Nothing has a flange for the turbo on the side.

Looks like mxcivic's pic of that manifold clears ps pump and ac lines so that design will obviously fit.

As far as color goes, all you have to do is grind it down to the metal and jet coat it to get rid of the discoloration.

Ramhorn style. It provides alot of strength compared to other manifolds. It's similar to equal length but I don't believe it will net you quite the same gains. Anyways, watch this video of an Si near me. They custom made a ramhorn manifold for it. =)

You can get away without loosing a/c if you make all the pipes custom, Just either go the other side of the engine to the tb, or go under the a/c

nobody would build and sell something that will never fit. So unless you got something from this sites favorite vendors (hahaha you know which ones i am talking about) then it will most likely fit.

Its a Full-Race/Kiwi/Lovefab style manifold.

it has the correct flanges on it. And it doesnt look like it will hit the block. There is a posibility that you will have to remove an accessory or two, but hey, anything for power, right?

It looks like you will have to remove the ac and/or ps. The mounting flage for the turbo is pretty close to the center. In order to keep the ac, i was making the flange pretty much directly underneath the #3 runner.

ramhorn is way superior to log style manifolds. flows much better spools a lot quicker and just ownz log style manifolds. if you dont believe me then watch this video and see for yourself. http://www.panekmechanik.com/Videos/...old%20Test.wmv

i don't think you can prove that the ramhorn style is better with this video... the runners and the flanges on both the manifold have to be port matched to get an unbiased dyno run... not only that, the guys in the video could have done a lot of other things to the car while changing out the manifold such as installing a smaller downpipe or restricting the boost off the wastegate.... All i'm saying is... this video could be biased and shot strictly to sell more of their company's ramhorn style manifolds...

btw... tubular is better based on the physics
