RSX front conversion on 7th gen Civic?
RSX front conversion on 7th gen Civic?
Hey:
My mom crashed her car a few days ago (someone pulled out infront of her), and totalled her car. Insurance is totalling it, and I got myself a new daily
(DSM LOOOOVE). Anyways, its a 2001 Civic LX sedan. Its has the same damage as a Civic that I'm working on right now (93, sedan). I remember reading about the EG Civic to the DC Integra conversion. You need the front radiator support, hood, fenders (Integra AND Civic), headlights and bumpers. For the fenders, you have to cut the Integra front part (that contours around the bumper), and weld that to a Civic (cut) fender.
I was wondering, can you do the same thing with a 7G Civic, and a RSX front end?
I would have to change the whole front anyways (driver's headlight, bumper, hood, driver's fender), and I might be able to salvage the pass headlight and fender.
I was told that the RSX has a longer hood. Would this make much of a difference? I talked to prototype, and he told me that he used his stock hood, rad support, and fenders and just shaved them. I'm going to have to replace all of them anyways, and will go RSX.
Let me know what you guys think.
Any input would be great.

LOL. People hate reading. I already talked to the guy, prototype, yellow Civic with black roof.
Yeah, I know I would need all those parts, but would it work? I don't think I would need the frame or any structural part, because its doesn't have to do anything with its structural integrity.
I don't think there is a bolt on converison out there yet. The easy part about the 96-2000 Civic is the stock radiator support can work with the RSX headlights. You can do it with the 7th gen also, but you have to redrill the holes to mount the headlights.
Any help would be great.
