violation of carpool lane is NOT a traffic violation in CA
im curious to know why arent carpool violations in the state of California are not filed as traffic violations? this mainly applys to the highway/intersates/freeway/etc.

Rep Power: 0 ^^^ That's what I thought also. When I went to court one time for not wearing a bicycle helmet and got into an accident, there were some others there who were caught for carpool violations. I don't think it's just merely a citation... or is it?

Rep Power: 335 weird, because i went to walk-in court the other day and the judge mentioned "carpool violations are not a traffic violation". maybe it was under his rule? time to search dmv.ca.gov
