vtec happy is an unknown quantity at this point
first time synthetic ?

Its gonna be the first time I use synthtic oil in my 2001 ex (51 000 km's) should i use 5w20 ? I am using torco motor oil

Guessing from the fact you used km's instead of miles, I'm guessing you live in Canada. It get's pretty cold up there during the winter, so I would use 5w20, 5w30 should only be used in cars that are in high heat areas, like Florida or LasVegas, and even then it's up to the owner to use 5w20 or 5w30.

5w-20 is perfectly fine. thats what the manufactuer recommends and it states on the oil cap lid.

and my service light is on, but im pretty sure is for the oil change, will it automatically shut off after the oild change or do I have to do something ?
