Can you get stuff on your driving record tooken off?

I was just wondering if old (past) tickets can be permenatly tooken off my driving record, and criminal record with the help of a lawyer?

I have been told that in texas once a ticket goes on your record, it can never be tooken off, its there for life. Well if anyone has knowledge about this, let me know.

Usually it takes 3 yrs for a traffic violation to be "taken" (not tooken) off, but thats here in Ohio, not sure about Texas, just look up the laws for Texas, should have it somewhere, or else just call tomorrow to a court house and ask them.

well it falls off your insurance after 3 years, but not sure about your driving record.

heres how it really works. In every state with the exception of Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Minnesota, violations stay on your record for 5 full years. Also, its 5 years from the date of settlement (paying it, going to court), not the date you got it. With insurance it is only "chargable" to your premium for 3 years, except in Tx the state will allow it for 5 years. After those 3 years, it isnt chargable but will typically affect a safe drive type of discount. In most states you have an option, usually only on the first ticket, to take a driving course and have it removed. If this is the option you choose, you must decide prior to paying the ticket and actually go to court to tell the judge. Texas will usually allow you to take it as often as needed, but the time of decision still applies. Also remember that paying a ticket is the same as pleading guilty, no lawyer can save you from that.
