the fvcking flat side goes down, im tellin you....ive done more than ten neuspeed spring installs (race/sport), everytime - flat side down.
sorry if i seem upset, just dont want you to cause damage.
edit: and ive never had someone come back to me with problems, either. even the springs on my cars are done this way......maybe it can be done both ways, im just telling you from experience what has always worked for me.
edited for peeps who dont know tech terms.

I would listen to Neuspeed, before I would listen to some guy on the internet. I did mine and the writing is upside down and the flat side up.
Don't you love when you get 5 guys saying one thing and 5 guys saying the opposite

the big housing that the strut sits inside of.....the spring sits on it.

when installing the front spring...just remember, flat side down towards the ground.

i believe it is the flat side up so that it sits better in the uppermount and same with the rear. the rear doesnt fit properly if you go by the writing on the springs where is legible. the springs need to be upside down and same with the writing.
