yeah i know...its not as simple as engine, ecu, frame, tranny, i heard there's alot more to add for the swap. and money wise..it'll probably cost $10,000 or more including labor?

read up on k20a.org
10K for the k20a2 swap is way too much. haprecycling quoted me for 8K alone. i've heard it done for 6K in different parts of the country and where you get your parts from.

What you and everyone else needs to know is that Honda made some changes to the engine bay for '04-05s. So, most of the parts made to do a swap in an '01-03 do not fully compatible for '04-05s. I will give you some examples:
1. Hasport makes motor mounts for the K20 swap into an EM2. With whatever changes Honda made to the '04-05 engine bay, these motor mounts do NOT fit correctly. Whomever is doing the swap will have to modify these mounts to get them to work properly.
2. Hasport converts the RSX wiring harness for the swap. Same problem as identified above--the wiring harness needs to be further modified to get it to work properly.
These are just a couple of examples. There are other problems as well.
Bottom line is this: A K20 swap into an '04-05 is nowhere near as easy as into an '01-03.

Also, let me share with you some of the costs I have paid for the swap:
K20A2/tranny/subframe/etc - $5200 (including shipping)
Exedy Hyper Single - $895
Quaife LSD - $900
Koyo aluminum radiator - $322
Hasport mount kit - $540
Hasport wiring harness - $270
Driveshaft Shop Stage II axles - $680
K-Pro - $910
Hondata IMG - $55
Vicsous Technologies short shift kit - $65
Mugen thermo switch - $50
Mugen thermostat - $90
I have spent another $1500 on custom steel-braided upper/lower radiator hoses, Tanabe exhaust, etc. Labor is around $1900.
In all I have spent over $10,000 on the swap.
