d17 in eg hatch, k20a3 in em2

not that i was seriously going to consider this, but a buddy of mine has an 1992 cx hatcback with the original motor, d16. it has many many miles and hes basically looking for another motor thats reliable, great mpg, and fairly new. we had a chat about how he could have my motor from the 7thgen and i could toss in a k20a3 in the automatic em2. i know its nothing big, but k20a3's come at a reasonable price nowadays and i would love to have little more power (to merge on the highway without being slow lol)

but it came to me thinking, would an k20a3 from an automatic base rsx fit directly into an automatic EM2? meaning, using same auto tranny and just the raw motor swap? what parts from the rsx would be needed to fit an automatic k20a3 into an automatic EM2?

nope you need to get new eveything. Its the same as a Type S swap. So new tranny, mounts, subframe and blahblah. Just check the k20 FAQ all the parts you need are on there.

I think that kezay had a d15 running in his 7th gen, so the d17 might fit in the hatch.
