Rsx vs. 2k1civic (and I won)
I was going over to my girls house last night and noticed that a car was kinda on my butt...so all of a sudden I here this car getting on it and it was a Acura rsx black with oem ground effects. So I turn my nitrous on and burn his as5 like nobodys bussiness, then he came back for some more so we slowed down to about 20mph in a 45 on harris blvd. and go again.. smoked him. I waved for him to follow and we pulled onto a side road and stopped talked for a while...Turned out he worked for a acura dealer in charlotte nc. He had a sri intake and thats all but talk about a bad as5 car. He told me he would get back with me when he got some mods...

so..you had to spary "naawwsss" in order to beat a *stock* rsx? I hope to hell it was a type S, and even so, that really isnt much to brag about. When you can beat one all motor, then you can really have bragging rights.

Rep Power: 0 I raced a RSX (non-Type S) the other night, and it was the 160 HP one, and it was an even race....!! I was pleased that I have gotten my car a little closer to Si staus : ) I have an AEM SRI, and DC Headers. I can't wait till I get that EVO put on......

although...I tend to disagree. They are definately not the same concept.
Many see nitrous as cheating. I dont. But I'm not a fan of it. I dont see the point in accelerating the ultimate demise of an engine. How long do you think a high revving 4 banger will last with "nawws"?
I suppose Nitrous is a cheap and easy way to make a slow car a bit quicker.
Please explain to me how nitrous is like a supercharger or a turbo?
My car came from the factory with a turbo. The engine was designed for a turbo ( strong bottom end, low compression, etc...)
Oh, the other reason I dont like "nawws" is that if you put it on your civic, your car is still slow 98% of the time. I can run deep into 14psi forever, while, with nitrous, all you get is a few seconds...and if your bottle runs out, looks like your back to a 17 second monster....
Sorry..just my opinion....

Yeah well the 2% of the time it is fast is when you need it to beat people. "Winning's winning".
i agree with NEO.. winning is winning.. i think if others complain about how u won.. its probably just because they werent the one who had the illest rush in beating ur opponent. that and im guessing that they cant afford nitrous so theyre hating on u. what do they care if u shorten the life of ur engine right? its ur damn engine! u paid for it, u do what u want with it. oh yeah nothing last forever anyway and... I HATE DOMESTIC CARS! LOL [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG] just my opinion.

As for turbo ive been looking into a Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo for it...way its looking its going to be on right after my body kit in March.
Also, that Civic thats not "fast" sure can make you look like an a$$hole when he sprays past you to the line in a street race, not everyone goes to the track.
