Get the Pressure sensor!
Get the Pressure sensor!
Well I know there are quiet a few FI members that are using emenage for tunning on their civic. I am also using it to tune and let me just give a bit of advice,I recently purchased an XD-1 wideband and was pretty amazed to see how the emanage actually puts out fuel without the pressure sensor. It works off of rpms and voltage from the map. Well if you were to have the throttle partialy open and go into boost then you prob aren't getting the fuel you need. or when you tap the gas in neutral you dump a good amount. I can clearly see the benifits of using the presure sensor to tune seeing as how the a/f would be soooooo much smoother and more consistant. I wish I would have known sooner. So I def. going to purchase it next and I really reccomend that everyone consider it as well.
Just a heads up

what kinda a/f wideband do you have?
ive been looking at the AEM ones. they sell for about 450. but im am not sure which is what. they have a single channel and a 2 channel i believe.

well thank you very much. you sold me. lol
by the end of this month ill be ordering it up!
Another question: This Pressure Sensor replaces the OEM MAP Sensor or how does it works???
If it does, how different will be tuning your car with the pressure sensor Vs. Tuning the car with the Stock MAP Sensor using the volt. clamp on the e-manage??

it makes alot of difference to tune off the pressure because it's consistant no matter what rpm.
the pressure sensor is a box in the engine bay that you hook to a vac. source that reads boost like a boost gauge.
the pressure sensor is a box in the engine bay that you hook to a vac. source that reads boost like a boost gauge.
So it reads boost at no matter what RPM, and since you are fooling your map sensor with those missing links and even with the volt clamp on the e-manage, the MAP never get to read boost and that's what makes this pressure sensor so good, because you can tune your fuel by the boost pressure.
Did I got it right this time??
If so, you have just convinced me to buy it with my e-manage!

I have yet to throw a map sensor CEL yet and im boosting about 6psi. Could you or someone explain how to set the voltage clamp and maybe a screen shot if you could, in case i ever need the voltage clamp. And BTW i too have the boost sensor
Only issue im having is i ocasionally throw a rich condition CEL at partial throttle. Oddly enough my wide band NEVER shows a rich condition when it throw this code. Any ideas?

Any ideas? ok so in the beginning of next month im installing my turbo kit. and advise for installing my e-manage and all 3 harnesses with senor?
this is the second time im trying to make it work. e-manage would not hold any settings when trying to set it.
someone said from here that they could have wired it for a different car. this person told me to use the wire diagram from a rsx. any thoughts? thanks!
