2000 crv?
Hey Guys, i'm not sure if this should be in this forum, if not then move it. My dad just bought a 2000 crv and is wantin so give it a little more umph out of it, he tells me the engine is a b20z1, it's not vtec, i know that much, and no i havnt seen it in person yet. Do have cai's and such for it? how does that engine respond to mods, etc.? whats the best way to get a little more power?
in the crv itself the engine is ok for evryday driver --yes i know its a lil slow but slap that into a 92-95 hatch and its gonna move. As far as mods go I think you are able to get the same intake for the b18b since its almost the same engine. You should also be able to get headers, my buddy has I/h/e on his civic with b20 and its fast. oh and if your really thinking of some heavy modding , just slap a vtec head on there, you will get the famous b20vtec

i was thinkin of doin a head swap, but my dad's all gung hoe on that warranty, i'm just gonna do small things for now, tighten the throttle cable ( that thing is looser than it was on my vic) check for a thottle body heater ( i live in phx so yea.....not going to freeze open), i'm prolly just gonna build a custom sri for it so he doesn't have to worry about hydro-locking, then a grounding kit, etc.....i know it's not much but all of it added might make him happy enough
Subarus FTW I do NOT miss my civic

You should be able to get a fair amount of parts for that suv. People like to swap those motors into vics, and Iknow they have aftermarket parts available for them. Just look online
