CAI Screwed up?
I was wondering if it is safe to buy a used AEM CAI if it has already caused hydro-lock. I know the engines prolly screwed, but how about the CAI? Is there any "effect" caused by hydrolocking to the CAI?

shouldnt be anything wrong with it. Its just a pipe and filter. Id use a different filter, cuz it was submerged in some dirty *** water if it was hydrolocked.

Use a new filter and clean the pipes out with soap and hot water to get all the **** out. Other than that, water doesn't hurt aluminum.
I agree, but most of the cost of a CAI setup is in its filter, so if you have to buy a new one, why not just get a used system that hasn't been submerged? Normally, it takes alot of water to cause hydrolock, but if you do get this type of system, stay away from standing water or streams caused by brook or stream overflows.
