brake dust + slight grinding = caliper sticking?
brake dust + slight grinding = caliper sticking?
Well, I changed the front brake pads on my g/f's 03 EX with some Satisfied ceramic pads. Now there is heavy brake dust, and when braking, they sometimes grind slightly, for about a second, right before coming to a complete stop.
Does this sound like the caliper sticking?
I wonder if I did something wrong when I changed them

Ceramic pads will dust heavily when new.... break them in then see what happens. Don't be surprised if it continues for quite some time, its the nature of the pad material. As far as the grind, mine do it all the time (HP+), I've pulled the pads several times and found no abnormal wear. Did you resurface the rotors too? I don't think the calipers are sticking, you'd have smoking pads and very hot wheels with a stuck caliper.

pads will give off dust no matter what. **** a day or two after I wash my car, my wheels are covered in dust. It is normal. If your calipers are sticking, look for uneven pad wear.
