Reinstall or sell?
posted for exturbo6
OK, i have the tsi turbo kit. e-manage with all the harnesses and senor. excedy clutch and flywheel. rsx-s injectors.
NOw when i first got my set up installed everything was working fine. running great. so a few months later i wanted to get my car tuned good so i bought e-manage. got that installed and after that my car neevr ran the same. car was running too rich. fuel cutting. it dynod at 109hp. at 5lbs. took it back and they saud everything was fine. right. so i took my car somewhere else and for 6 weeks they could not fix my car. the e-manage would not hold its settings. i blew a fuse. i ordered a new e-manage to see if my was broke and the new one didnt work. so it was not my e-manage. got it rewired. still would not hold anything. called greddy they said it was my car. So i had the place takle everything out. i really want my turbo kit back on. car just isnt fun. i want a new car but id rather save my money then start all over with payments.
to save me money me and my boy were going to install the turbo kit then take my car to get the e-manage done. what would you guys do?
Also if everything worked or works out by next spring ill have a built bottom end. and some head work done.

Well if it was running fine without the emanage don't use emanage are you sure everything was wired up good?? Just turbo it up again and make sure everything is done right your tuners might have not known what they were doing.
well i have gone to 2 of the most rep'd places on the east coast. and they either couldnt do it, or tried and said hey lets give it back to him messed up. idk. i need to find a good shop for tuning.

Did you fix the resetting problem?? My TSI unit does that. Its not the unit, its my car. All my fuses are fine, grounds are fine, and it resets on me. Only when I turn the car all the way on does it do this. I can enter them with the car off, turn ACC on and off as many times as I like and they still save. Even with the battery out of the car, they still saved. Only when I turn my car on does it reset on me.
We are having the exact same problem here. It sucks BIG TIME!! But its my TSI unit. Let me know any info you find out. Please PM me and let me know. I will let you know if I ever fix mine as well. Ive been through 3 units, and 2 wiring harnesses, and still nothing. Its hooked up correctly 100% positive.

my only suggestion is take baby steps install one part of the system then fire it up to make sure that system works properly. I installed my e-manage 1 week before my turbo just to ensure all connections were proper and solid. And even prior to that i installed my return fuel system MONTHS before to make sure it was working. As the turbo was installed in fired it after only the exhaust, oil and charge pipes were hooked up. Then installed the water connections and so on ..... untill all parts of the system were there. That way i ensured that i didnt have multiple problems and not sure what the cause was. As for the e-manage i self tuned it using JUST the injector correction first (when i got to installing the rsx injectors) just to make sure it would idle properly then started enriching the fuel curve from there. Granted i still need to have it dyno tuned. But im confident with my wide band that im running rich rather than lean. So hopefully im less likely to do engine damage before the dyno.
Baby steps is all it takes.......
